Schuyler is a graduate of Louisiana College and received a Master’s Degree in Church Music and Vocal Performance from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to serving as Minister of Music at Lakeside since 1987, he has served as Minister of Music at Shady Oaks Baptist Church, Hurst, Texas and First Baptist Church, Natchitoches, Louisiana. Schuyler has a passion for music and worship that glorifies God and allows individuals to use their gifts to exalt and proclaim Christ. In addition to serving as worship leader at Lakeside, Schuyler coordinates the various music ministries of the church. Schuyler and his wife, Debbie, are originally from Louisiana, but feel themselves to be thoroughly "Texan". Debbie is employed by J.P. Morgan. Son Jordan, 24, and daughter Amanda, 20, attend a Texas state university. Jordan is working on his Master’s Degree and Amanda is a Junior.
